Japanese Shibori Indigo Dyeing Workshop

Join us Monday, July 21 in Bellevue for a Japanese Shibori Indigo Dyeing Workshop led by Stephanie Trounce. You’ll learn a variety of Shibori folding and resist techniques, then use natural indigo dye to transform fabric into one-of-a-kind works of art. Each participant will dye two high-quality linen napkins, with the option to bring a small cotton or natural fiber item from home. All materials and instruction are provided. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and clothing that can get dirty. The event will be held at Stephanie’s house. Registrants will receive the address ahead of the workshop.

If you find yourself caught in the same loops—procrastination, doomscrolling, or feeling overwhelmed before the day even starts—this workshop offers a way to pivot. In Because This Isn’t Working, you’ll design your own way forward, guided by what matters most to you and resourced by small, doable practices. We’ll start by looking at the energy behind your actions using two concepts: Organizing Principles (what guides you) and Animating Principles (the qualities you choose to embody). Then, you’ll create a personalized toolkit of micro-practices and inner-cues to support you in the moments you need it most. This workshop is offered by Maggy Navin of the creative research studio Regarding Dew.
