Walking in This World Creative Circle
Join us on Monday nights at Field Day for a 13-week accountability cohort centered around Julia Cameron’s Walking in This World, the sequel to The Artist’s Way.
The cohort is designed for women who have clarity about their projects, ideas, or callings, but struggle to find momentum in the muddle of everyday life. Whether you’re starting a Substack, organizing a basement, or finally launching that neighborhood group, join us as we pair frameworks, community support, and dedicated space to turn intention into traction. Prior completion of The Artist’s Way is welcome but not required.

Resilience for Service
Join Licensed Professional Counselor Caryn Jooste for Resilience for Service: Caring for Self While Caring for Community, a workshop designed to help women maintain energy and balance in the face of stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout. Participants will explore the Window of Tolerance framework, reflect on the parts of themselves that work hard at caregiving, and practice tools for emotion regulation – all within a supportive, understanding space. Meal Prep with Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh
During hard times, providing a warm meal for someone in need is a gesture of kindness that can help brighten their day and remind them that they’re not alone. Join us at the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh to offer care and support for residents by way of a homemade meal.
We’ll chop, cook, and prepare all the ingredients for a nourishing taco bar, then serve them to residents to enjoy. Afterward, we’ll engage with the residents and their kids with fun arts and crafts activities, plus cookie and cupcake decorating.

Join The Salon and Steel City Rowing Club for one of our signature summer kayak outings on the Allegheny River. Launching from SCRC’s Verona boathouse, we’ll paddle to Sycamore Island — one of Pittsburgh’s last undeveloped river islands — for a short nature walk. Then we’ll drift back downstream and end the evening with snacks, drinks, and conversation on the riverside balcony. Spots are limited and fill quickly—don’t miss your chance to paddle, connect, and unwind.

Summery Skin Contact Wines is a guided tasting and conversation led by the founders of Nine O’Clock Wines. Japanese Shibori Indigo Dyeing Workshop
Join us Monday, July 21 in Bellevue for a Japanese Shibori Indigo Dyeing Workshop led by Stephanie Trounce. You’ll learn a variety of Shibori folding and resist techniques, then use natural indigo dye to transform fabric into one-of-a-kind works of art. Each participant will dye two high-quality linen napkins, with the option to bring a small cotton or natural fiber item from home. All materials and instruction are provided. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and clothing that can get dirty. The event will be held at Stephanie’s house. Registrants will receive the address ahead of the workshop.

These casual meetups are designed for advanced beginners and intermediate players, with rotating doubles games, plenty of friendly competition, and a chance to connect with others in the community. We’ll kick things off with a quick meet-and-greet, provide all the paddles and balls you’ll need, and wrap up the night with refreshments and relaxed conversation.

Floral Wisdom: A Creative Discernment Workshop with Becca Ringham
Join us for an immersive, hands-on Floral Wisdom workshop exploring flower arranging, mental health, and vocational discernment at the serene Eleven Mile Farm. The two-hour session will kick off with Becca Ringham, Eleven Mile’s founder, sharing her journey from Clinical Psychologist to Flower Farmer. Becca will introduce us to the neuroscience of nature before leading us in a walking meditation to forage flowers in the field. To end the evening, we’ll each craft a personal arrangement and reflect on what’s blooming in our lives this season.
Because This Isn’t Working: Design Your Own Toolkit of Micro-Practices
If you find yourself caught in the same loops—procrastination, doomscrolling, or feeling overwhelmed before the day even starts—this workshop offers a way to pivot. In Because This Isn’t Working, you’ll design your own way forward, guided by what matters most to you and resourced by small, doable practices. We’ll start by looking at the energy behind your actions using two concepts: Organizing Principles (what guides you) and Animating Principles (the qualities you choose to embody). Then, you’ll create a personalized toolkit of micro-practices and inner-cues to support you in the moments you need it most. This workshop is offered by Maggy Navin of the creative research studio Regarding Dew.
